Logos aren't new to Saint Laurent, obviously. The French house's iconic interlocked "YSL" has been the loud, proud mark of their coveted pieces for decades; in fact, we're pretty sure a classic Kate clutch in sleek grain de poudre or even the quilted leather Loulou, a more recent introduction, both sit top level on your ultimate designer bag wish list. But what is new are these fresh drops in—yes!—cool canvas. They've joined the fabric phenomenon. Check out the Monogram All Over pieces!
Deliberately vintage, plus just the right blend of signature Anthony Vaccarello glam and oh-this-old-thing blasé. Perfect.
This isn't the first time Saint Laurent's done a collection like this, though. In 2014, under the creative direction of Hedi Slimane, YSL released a line of luggage decorated with an understated, densely woven-together version of the house's monogram. While it seems that back then, anything too flashy was deemed unsuitable, 2019's turned that now-outdated sentiment right on its head.
