Rocking Couture 10 designers and 5 bands join forces for Rockouture.

In this day and age when the best models strut the haute couture catwalk and party with the rock stars, everyone knows that music and fashion are never too far apart. While we usually get the best of both worlds with rock-inspired designer collections and fashionista-infested music festivals, the recent Rockouture show provided an even better formula by adding charity to the mix.

The one-of-a-kind and appropriately named fashion show featured the works of ten designers, modeled to the music of five of the hottest bands today. The boys from Blue Jean Junkies kicked off the event with music for Tantease and Moonshine. Hilera then took over and serenaded the models of Alodia Cecilia and Anna Leah Salvador. Soon after, Pedicab's funky beats gave life to the works of Prisara Morales and Happy Andrada. For the designs of Patrick Galang, Veejay Floresca and Czarina Villa, Kjwan provided the tunes, while Sandwich closed the show with an energetic performance for the models of James Reyes. Completing all the outfits were accessories from Sundari and Vida Jewelries.

From feminine bustier dresses and ballerina skirts to slouchy silhouettes and avant-garde details, each outfit rocked the stage along with the bands. All that fun was, in the words of designer Veejay Floresca, "for a good cause." Proceeds from the event will go to the AHON Foundation, a center that builds libraries for public schools.
