Following Peter Dundas' departure from the brand last October, iconic Italian luxury label Roberto Cavalli has announced Paul Surridge as its new creative director!
“I am honored and proud to carry forward the legacy of this extraordinary Italian house," Paul said in an interview with Vogue. "This is a unique opportunity to contribute a new chapter to the Roberto Cavalli universe, which positively celebrates the beauty, sensuality, and power of women. It is my intention to show the passion I share for the codes and vision on which Roberto Cavalli built his brand while celebrating the excellence of Italian craftsmanship."
Paul is well-equipped to take on his new role; in case you were looking for creds, let us lay out all his cards: a graduate of the esteemed Central Saint Martins, the British designer has worked at Calvin Klen, Burberry, and under Raf Simons at Jil Sander, before going on to act as creative director for Z Zegna and creative consultant at Acne Studios.
His first collection for Cavalli is slated to come out in the Spring/Summer 2018 season, so we're on the edge of our seats. Congratulations, Paul!
