In 2011, Rihanna got in trouble with her S&M video when photographer David La Chapelle claimed that the singer cloned the imagery from him.
Fast forward to today, New York-based German photog, Philipp Paulus, sues Rihanna for supposedly plagiarizing his work from his fashion series, Paperworld. In his version, a model seems to be encased in a wall of plastic, with a letter X marked on the background. In thye music video, the singer does a similar version of it.
Not being able to resolve the issue privately, Philipp has filed for injunction, and the case will be taken to court in Germany on April 15th. If he wins the case, the music vid will be banned on Youtube and television.
