Ten years ago, Rhett Eala's first ever clothing line, Due, was the go-to retail choice of stylish twenty-somethings for fashionable and affordable workwear. It actually started as a teens' line, but eventually developed into a more sophisticated womenswear brand.
"Due was well known for its separates in lightweight linen and very bright, vibrant colors," Rhett says. "The pieces were spot-on in terms of the season’s latest trends, yet were affordable enough to own and collect."
A decade later, Rhett decided to bring back the then-popular line at the behest of clients who continue to wear their Due pieces. "People still have good memories of Due, so I thought to myself, 'Why not bring it back?' I broached the idea to Collezione-C2’s Joey Qua, and he was very supportive of it." The two then set on to relaunch the label, now called DUE | Collezione.
DUE | Collezione retains Due's aesthetic and design philosophy. Rhett says, "My vision for DUE | Collezione is to provide the modern working woman with fashionable wardrobe staples that are understatedly chic and wearable. As Collezione-C2 already offers men and women casual, relaxed pieces, Due will provide trendier options for women."
The first collection comprises of jewel-toned and neutral-colored dresses that are suitable for the office and can transition well into the night. The strapless draped dress is a comfy yet chic alternative to the more rigid shift dresses of the office, and can be accessorized for a more glamourous look. But if shift dresses are more your thing, Due has them, too. The Grecian asymmetrical dress is another look that can take one from a workday to a night out, while the ponchos, ski pants, and long wraps are essential wardrobe must-haves.
DUE | Collezione is now available at Collezione-C2 Greenbelt 5 and Power Plant Mall. Click on the photo gallery to view the collection.
