Since visiting actual thrift stores sounds like a distant dream because of the pandemic, this special online shopping party will satisfy your thirst for splurging on preloved designer finds. Influencer and content creator Rei Germar went on Instagram to announce a closet sale for a cause this Saturday, May 8. In partnership with Keep Going Organization, the proceeds of the event will benefit the jeepney drivers along the Katipunan route. Think splurging for charity!

In her recent vlog, Rei shared some of the pieces shoppers can expect to call dibs on at her closet sale Instagram account @shopreicloset. The hand-picked items range from covetable Prada bags, no-fail trendy tops, to classic pieces that will never go out of style. She’s even letting go of her Joy Gryson Margo bag—which is one of the designer bags Seo Ye Ji flaunted in the K-Drama It’s Okay To Not Be Okay.

As for the actual shopping mechanics, prepare yourselves because the item will go to whoever comments “Mine” first! Once it is reserved for you, a direct message will be sent to coordinate shipping and payment details.
Luckily, Rei teamed up with GCash for an easy QR on Demand payment system. She'll be sending out her personal QR code to buyers once their purchase is confirmed—so make sure to have the GCash app installed on your phone! Here’s a quick step-by-step if you’re not familiar with QR payments:

Step 1: Open your GCash App and click on ‘Send Money’
Step 2: Choose the Send Via QR option
Step 3: Scan or upload Rei’s QR
Step 4: Input the amount and tap next to send your payment!
Items will be uploaded by 12nn over at @shopreicloset this Saturday. So make sure to turn on your Instagram notifications. We suspect pieces to sell out fast. Happy shopping!
