Last Saturday, Manila’s fashionable elite brought fashion for a cause to a higher level as they all gathered for a night of glitz and glamour at The Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-la to raise funds for the benefit of the Philippine Red Cross and the Assumption High School Batch 1981 Foundation. Spearheaded by society icon Tessa Prieto-Valdes and philanthropist Kaye Tinga, the night started with a fun auction where proceeds will be given to the victims of the recent 7.2-magnitude earthquake in Cebu and Bohol.
And as part of tradition, the evening was centered on a fashion show, and this year, it’s all about Dubai-based designer Ezra Santos. The show opened with the introduction of Zoe and Zurie, his new fragrances for Bench, followed by a 45-piece collection of stunning gowns inspired by Art Nouveau and “Divine Romanticism.”
