Wining and dining found a good cause last Saturday, as Manila’s fashionable elite came out to support the annual Red Cross Ball. This year’s festivities, entitled Red Charity Gala, took place in the Rizal Ballroom of the prestigious Makati Shangri-La Hotel. The black-tie event was presented by bon vivant Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Kaye Tinga, and included an auction with proceeds benefiting the Philippine Red Cross and the Assumption High School Batch 1981 Foundation. The evening’s highlight was a gala runway show by Cebu designer Cary Santiago, who showcased his impeccable, origami-inspired 2013 fashion collection.
