Summer is always a fun season to dress up for. Well, it's not like we've got much choice—it is practically summer year-round in the Philippines, so really, we have twice the fun. This year, though, summer looks even more inviting with its huge floral trends and the color saturation that naturally accompanies it.
One of the country's premier designers, Randy Ortiz, of course is never one to miss a beat. In his Spring/Summer 2012 collection, he puts forward a refreshing selection of men's and ladies' wear for Myth that hit the Summer 2012 trends right on the head, but with his usual panache that screams less "trendy" than "current."
For the ladies, he's got a smattering of prints and florals in luscious summer colors. These come in loose, airy silhouettes that are perfect for the summer heat. For those who don't prefer busy fabrics, he also has jewel-tone items that are sexily draped, or cut flatteringly close to the body.
A Randy Ortiz collection wouldn't be complete with menswear, of course. Summer's energy is also encapsulated in the florals and print-happy tailored shirts and trousers of the collection. Staple neutrals are also available, alongside brightly colored wardrobe basics such as sportscoats, pullovers, and tees.
