This summer, top designer Rajo Laurel perfectly captures the city-girl bound for the beach aesthetic with his latest collection dubbed as Palawan. Inspired by the island and its undersea flora and fauna, each piece combines a dichotomy of pastel hues and oceanic prints, the urban and the tropical, and a study on lightness brought to life through texture. "My latest collection is a study on lightness—endless and cyclical interpretations of it; be it fabric, texture, and color," says Rajo.
Upon seeing the full collection during his launch yesterday, we seriously went gaga over the fabulous palm-tree prints and a couple of throw-on-and-go dresses that totally made us want to head over to the beach, stat!
