Rajo Laurel has always been fascinated with Japanese culture, and for his Holiday collection decided to revisit this fascination, with a little help from his recent trip to Japan's different cities.
Hanami promises a wide collection of pieces that are flattering, versatile, and functional—most of the pieces can be augmented by a (obi) belt as well. Rajo also made use of new fabrics and textures for the collections, in colors inspired by the obi belt like orange, tangerine, and deep reds.
As for menswear, Rajo drew inspiration from traditional clothing and samurai armor interpreted for the modern man. He added details like hand painting, also inspired by the Japanese countryside, and a tasuki (also known as a kimono shoulder tie). Domo arigatou!
