When Nike collaborated with Olivier Rousteing of Balmain last June, the black and gold Flyknits and N98 jackets sold out pretty quickly, and some people are keeping watch on eBay for a chance to snag some second-hand ones to this day. Even though it breaks our hearts to finally put that collection to rest, we're excited to announce that the designer-sneaker collab ball is in adidas' court once more.
Our beloved Stan Smiths are getting another makeover by the newly-appointed Calvin Klein creative director Raf Simons, and he's giving the brand favorites an interesting Simons twist. Velcro straps instead of laces, glossy uppers, and unique color combinations you won’t expect to see on a pair of adidas are all over this collection. The collaboration is set to be the sportswear giant’s Fall 2016 collection, and its retro '80s vibe will most likely blow the '90s trend out of the water.
So if the Nike x Olivier Rousteing collab was too refined for you, this collection of kicks is the perfect thing to add to your growing holiday wish list.
