Dainty brides, look no further for the dress of your dreams! As of late, we’ve noticed that there’s an emergent bridal gown trend, evidenced by the likes of former Goin' Bulilit star Trina Legaspi, model Jasmine Maierhofer, and content creator Vina Guerrero. The three brides hit the update button on the usual sweetheart neckline ball gown, working in a trendy detail: Sheer puff sleeves.
The puff sleeves are detachable and garterized, giving you ease of wear. They’re also the strategic choice if you want to show off your décolletage without being too revealing—they offer you the comfort and drama of sleeves without covering your shoulders and looking stuffy. Additionally, the sheer fabric adds a fairy-like buoyancy that counterpoints the weight of a heavily beaded or embroidered ball skirt.
Another key detail is the stiff, pointed bodice that almost adorns the bust like armor. It's a subtly edgy design that adds structure to an otherwise billowy and frothy gown.

For her big day, Vina Guerrero looked just like a princess. She wore a gauzy high-slit Patricia Santos gown with leafy embellishments, and her puff sleeves slimmed into cuffs at the wrists, eliminating the need for bracelets and giving the girly gown a more mature touch. She accessorized with a crystal-studded headband, and wore her hair down in long waves.
Trina Legaspi's dress was also by the designer Patricia Santos. Her puff sleeves ended right below the elbow, giving the gown a youthful look. She went for a beaded bodice that glittered like ice, and a voluminous, floor-sweeping skirt.
Filipino-Austrian model Jasmine Maierhofer passed on the usual white gown, and instead went for a gray and cream frock with a corset bodice and a pointed, structured neckline. The crystal-studded Francis Libiran creation made her look like just a doll!
