How to Take Your Loungewear Beyond the Bedroom
Uniqlo's F/W '26 Loungewear and Underwear collection makes a case for everyday comfort beyond the home, with versatile pieces you can style from morning to night.

Published on Oct 16, 2026
An everyday wardrobe can generally be divided into three categories: clothes for lounging at home, casual ensembles for everyday outings, and outfits reserved for dressier occasions. For some, however, homewear—or what Filipinos commonly call pambahay—rarely makes it beyond the confines of the house. Wearing it outside can even be considered a sign of being underdressed.
But what if we told you loungewear can also make a style statement—even outside your home?
For Fall/Winter 2026, Uniqlo’s Loungewear and Underwear collection makes a case for bringing these everyday essentials into your out-of-home wardrobe. Think classic Henleys, delicate floral-print tanks, lace-trimmed hems, and relaxed-cut bottoms in soft fabrics. With the right layering and color combinations, these pieces can transition seamlessly from a leisurely morning to a full day of activities.

This month’s Preview The Trend fashion editorial explores the versatility of loungewear and its styling possibilities. Whether you're heading out for your morning coffee, taking an afternoon stroll through the park, or meeting friends for an evening out, these looks offer fresh ways to elevate your pambahay without compromising on comfort.
Scroll on to see how we styled pieces from Uniqlo’s F/W ’26 Loungewear and Underwear collection for a full day out.
How to Style Uniqlo’s F/W ’26 Loungewear and Underwear Collection for a Full Day Out
A Morning Coffee Run
Picture this: You wake up early, glance out the window, and realize it’s the perfect morning to grab a coffee at your neighborhood café. You’re still in your sweats and tank top, and while you crave your usual caffeine fix, changing into an entirely different outfit feels like too much effort.
The trick? Work with what you’re already wearing. Play with textures and proportions to add a little more flair.

Unbutton your henley tank to reveal the lace trim of a similarly hued bra underneath, then slightly lower the waistband of your sweats to let a hint of lace peek through at the hips.
This low-effort, Y2K-inspired styling technique adds a subtle touch of character while still keeping things easy and comfortable.

Finish the look with wedges and brown-tinted sunglasses, and you’re ready for your morning coffee.

An Afternoon Stroll in the Park
It’s a slow, sunny afternoon, and you’ve made plans to catch up with a friend over a leisurely walk in the park. The weather calls for something light and breathable, while the occasion leaves plenty of room for a little styling. You want to feel comfortable enough to wander along shaded pathways, stop for a chat on a park bench, or make an impromptu detour for some ice cream.
The key is to build on your loungewear with easy layers and playful proportions, then introduce a few dressier elements to pull everything together.

Start by layering a white henley over a striped red-and-white tank to create an entirely new “top” out of the two wardrobe staples. Tug at the inner layer to give it a slightly undone finish, just enough to let the pop of color come through. Balance the relaxed pairing with more tailored bottoms, such as these chestnut-brown corduroy pants in a barrel-leg cut.

For something on the preppier side, reach for your favorite pair of checkered boxers.
Up top, introduce a dressier layer with a jumper worn over a collared shirt. Opt for complementary hues to keep the combination cohesive, as seen in this pairing of blue and mocha brown.
Lastly, finish the ensemble with nude knee-high socks and your favorite leather loafers.

A Girls’ Night Out
The clock strikes 9 p.m., and you decide to head out for drinks with your girlfriends. The plan is simple: catch up over cocktails, then see where the night takes you.
A night out usually means reaching for the dressier pieces in your closet. But what if we said you could put together a party-ready look using a few well-chosen loungewear staples?
Whether you’re heading to a dimly lit cocktail bar or a lively spot with music and dancing, the right layers, proportions, and accessories can transform your laid-back basics into a night-out ensemble.

For something on the grungy and bookish side, a pointelle camisole top will be your pièce de résistance— think 2010s Tumblr with a touch of millennial optimism. Layer it over a fitted long-sleeved top in a contrasting color, then pair the combination with a black mini skirt. Spruce it up with statement glasses and your trusty combat boots.

Hear us out: why not wear a bra as an outer layer?
Start with a tank top in a shade that complements the bra’s print. In this case, a muted yellow makes a fitting base for the bra’s white-and-navy pattern, allowing the printed piece to stand out.

As with the bottoms, a pair of lounge pants could very well work too. Play with proportions by lowering the waistband slightly to reveal the hem of a pair of checked boxers underneath, then wear a pair of heeled leather boots for a dressier touch.

If you prefer something more straightforward, a tank top and sweatpants make an easy starting point. Add a little edge with an oversized bomber jacket and knee-high boots.
Style tip: Tuck your sweatpants into your boots to create a voluminous, balloon-like silhouette. Who would've thought your favorite sweats could look right at home on a night out?
