Preview Best Dressed Ball 2013: Just Dance The year's hottest party was all about moving to the beat in style.

Manila’s movers and shakers flocked to Hyve last night in celebration of the much-awaited event of the year: the Preview Best Dressed Ball. If last year was all about sportswear, this time we had only one requirement: to put on your dancing shoes. Indeed, it was a night of high energy as fashionphiles showed up clad in their various interpretations of dance—from hip-hop, '70s disco, ballet, ballroom, and so much more, all to party in style.

Preview's Daryl Chang and Vince Uy

Powered by Calvin Klein, TRESemme, Globe Tattoo, and Havaianas, guests were in for a surprise as four (not three!) DJs spun for the night, paying homage to different genres of music. To rev up the crowd, Preview's Vince Uy and Daryl Chang started off on the turntables, followed by DJ Mars Miranda, who electrifed the dance floor with his signature old school-meets-disco mix. As soon as everyone got all hyped up, lights were turned off, and Preview EIC Pauline Juan formally welcomed the guests via a short film to introduce the 10 fashion bonds who made it to this year’s Best Dressed List.

Yes, this year’s Best Dressed List features not just 10 individuals, but 10 stylish cliques—designer and muse, mother and daughter, best friends, sisters, and husband and wife, among others—who rock the fashion scene with their unique sense of style. Headlined by Liz Uy with her celebrity clients Bea Alonzo, Isabelle Daza, and Vice Ganda, this year’s list celebrates style in all forms.

Music and madness

After the toast, DJ Funk Avy opened up the dance floor once again with his cool mix of pop hits, followed by hip-hop beats from DJ Euric. With the dance floor filled to the brim, DJ Ivan Chia (a.k.a. DJ Eclipse) from Singapore capped off the night with electro-dance tunes, the perfect ending to an evening filled with funk, glamour, and all-out fun.
