Plains & Prints once again taps designer Vania Romoff to create a capsule collection that is tailored to the modern woman. In her sophomore year with the local brand, Vania brings her own aesthetic as a designer—whimsical, elegant, and effortlessly chic.

In an interview with Preview, Vania shares that she had the Filipina in mind when she was designing the clothes. "[The collection is] inspired by the Filipina woman leaning on the romantic side—that meant bows, laces, and flowers." She adds that she also drew inspiration from the ornamental vine, bougainvillea, as well as the ikat pattern, which she's both translated into her signature design penchants like dainty ribbons, flounce, and subtle embellishments.

In line with Plains & Prints' vision, the collection "caters to the same kind of modern woman—proud, powerful and confident in her femininity," says Vania. Her 12-piece collection features a romantic spin on classic silhouettes like the wrap and shift dresses, trousers, and dressy tops that are perfect for the dynamic lives of working women.

Thus, Vania made sure that "the collection is made to be accessible, wearable, and fun for the Filipina woman. I want it to resonate with larger audiences." She also hopes that her capsule collection will impart "a sense of inclusivity" to its wearer, breaking the feeling of intimidation when it comes to wearing designer clothing.
Vania's capsule collection will be available starting July 15. But you can get first dibs at the following stores: Plains & Prints Glorietta 1 and Chimes Davao on July 6-9; Plains & Prints Ayala Cebu and Plains & Prints online on July 7-9; and Zalora PH and Amazon US on July 11-14.
