The evening started off strong with show stopping gowns rife with sequined embellishments and intricate details, segueing into the more casual collections featuring easy separates with no shortage of style.
Albert Andrada opened the segment with his signature romantic touch, putting emphasis on sparkly beading, sheer details, and a simple palette of nude and black.
FEMININE FANCY: Lace, crystals, and sequins adorn the designer's gowns
After a restrained color scheme came Eric Delos Santos’ youthful collection, which played with numerous prints (think paisley, floral, and geometric) and texturized touches. Opening the show was supermodel Marina Benipayo, who lent the jovial collection an air of elegance.
FUN AND FRINGED: Texture added a whimsical element
As if to jolt the audience’s attention, the mood took a more dramatic turn with the entrance of Jerome Salaya Ang. Showcasing his meticulous eye for detail, he manipulates printed flora and fauna into his signature construction.
ANIMAL INSTINCTS: Pink laopard print in his signature construction
Up next was Jun Jun Cambe’s collection, which opened with a handful of diaphanous rainbow-hued pieces and took on a more austere palette of black and white.
ROCK 'N ROLL: Tough girl accents peppered the runway
Not one to shy away from his usual palette, Norman Noriega presented pieces in gray, white, black, and the occasional hint of tie-dye. Utilizing relaxed oversized silhouettes in jersey fabric, he introduced a new erogenous zone: the gentle slope of a woman’s back.
GRAY MATTER: Light layers and slices of skin
Raoul Ramirez was all about the embellishments, putting on the ritz with black embroidery on stark white pieces, sequined stripes, and romantic floral applique.
SEQUINED STRIPES: A new way to wear the print
