Menswear has long operated within a strict framework—governed by precise proportions, calibrated cuts, and time-honored conventions.

At its core, menswear construction is an exacting practice. For generations, dress codes have been upheld through established formulas: how a tie should be fastened, what defines a suit, or where a shirt ought to be buttoned.

Formality is embedded in the language of tailoring. Yet, at the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2026 menswear show, Men’s Artistic Director Pharrell Williams demonstrates how these rules can be flexed without dismantling the foundations of sharp dressing.

Louis Vuitton reimagines the grounds of Le Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris as a threshold between the present and future, where the stage is set for the new dandy. A verdant garden covers the floor, punctuated by a wooden structure at its center—a prefabricated fixture which the luxury brand calls “DROPHAUS.”

Developed by Pharrell in collaboration with architectural firm Not A Hotel, the structure is envisioned as a permanent residence for future living, offering insight into the evolving lifestyle of the Louis Vuitton man.

The opening sequence unfolds on a dimly lit runway. Three models step inside the DROPHAUS and explore its interior.

Leading the group is a model in a crisp gray suit, followed by another in a zipped, embellished sweater, then the next in a white, crinkled button-down.

Immediately, Pharrell’s message is made clear: Louis Vuitton is not going the traditional route here.

What follows is a procession of precisely cut looks grounded in a cohesive palette of browns, greys, and whites, punctuated by controlled injections of red, butter yellow, blue, and moss green. The visual language is clean and delectable on the eyes.

Looks on the runway are rarely ever without a tie. Yet here, they are styled beyond the conventions of formal suiting. Shirts and neckwear surface beneath fur-trimmed jackets, padded parkas, knitwear, and bombers. Pharrell treats suiting as a flexible system, one that accommodates ease without losing composure. The energy is casual, effortless, and oh-so-cool.

And then there are the bags.

Louis Vuitton’s legacy in leather goods is well established, defined by enduring silhouettes and iconic monogram emblem. For Fall/Winter 2026, Pharrell extends that lineage forward, proposing new material treatments and formats that hint at what lies ahead for the Parisian house.

The Speedy P9 appears in lightweight perforated crocodile for enhanced suppleness, as well as in vividly colored python, echoed in a Track backpack. VVN-toned crocodile versions of the Mini Shopper and Squeeze Trunk are designed to patina over time, much like the house’s original VVN leather.

Buttersoft ostrich emerges across several silhouettes: a burgundy-and-black Speedy P9, a black Christopher P9, an apple green Shopper, and a tonal black Monogram Clutch Trunk.

In many respects, the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2026 Men’s Collection presents a future already taking shape. Pharrell Williams positions forward-looking design as something practical—a wardrobe grounded by enduring forms, refined through Louis Vuitton’s artisanal and technical expertise. Here, luxury is defined by mere utility, with garments design to move and evolve along with the modern gent.
