Penshoppe is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a collaboration that brings Filipino creativity to the world. This October 2026, the homegrown retailer will launch a limited-edition collection with ABAKADA, the Chicago-based Filipino streetwear brand founded by Arvin Boyon and Calvin Calma.

The partnership marks the first release under Penshoppe Designer Lab, a new creative platform where the brand will team up with independent brands and artists to develop limited-edition collections and explore different perspectives on fashion.

Penshoppe Announces Collaboration with ABAKADA

Founded in Chicago in 2018, ABAKADA began as a Filipino-American streetwear label before carving out a place within the US streetwear scene. Through their designs, Arvin Boyon and Calvin Calma incorporate elements of Filipino heritage and culture, creating pieces informed by their roots and experiences.

That perspective takes center stage in the 23-piece collection, which brings ABAKADA’s distinctly Filipino approach to streetwear together with Penshoppe’s accessible take on fashion. Expect sporty silhouettes and streetwear-inspired pieces punctuated by contemporary design and Filipino cultural influences.

Select pieces from the collaboration will first be available for pre-order at the Purveyr Fair this September, ahead of its official release. The full collection will then launch in October 2026 through the PENSHOPPE App and select Penshoppe stores nationwide.
