From lighting up the sky to enjoying a festive dinner with our loved ones, we all celebrate the New Year in different ways. But however we choose to spend the 31st of December, we just love how the New Year always brings a fresh start and a spanking sense of excitement and positivity. It’s time best spent with friends and family, cheering on and happily anticipating for the stroke of midnight—definitely something we’re always looking forward to.

So with New Year’s Eve going down in a couple of weeks, it’s best to start planning ahead for what’s to come. Don’t panic, we’ve got you covered. To ease up the holiday pressure, we’ve rounded up a list of the metro’s best parties and events on the night we count down to 2015 and bid 2014 adieu.

Party like a royal at The Palace in the Fort as Valkyrie welcomes 2015 with none other than Dirty South himself. You better hurry, though. Tickets are selling hot and fast.

Celebrate the end of a great year and the start of a better one with Raven’s One Last Time: A New Year’s Eve 2015 Celebration. This party is going to be bliss with its lineup of DJs, such as Superman, Marc Marasigan, DJ Nina, and Carlo Atenido. Party starts at 12:30, and if you’re coming from their restaurant Nest, the drinks and entrance fee are on the house.

If soulful music and electro mash-ups are more your speed, then head on over to Privé to ring in the New Year. Doors open at 11pm, with beats by DJs John Monreal, Marc Naval, Arnel Genterone and Funk Avy, and with Roda King MC-ing for the night.

Give 2014 a huge send-off by partying at HYVE with DJ Ray Ray of Taiwan. From dancing to hip-hop, jazz hip-hop and old school tunes, counting down to the new year has never sounded more fun! Don’t forget, doors open at 11pm.

To those who love to live it out while they’re young, raise your glasses and celebrate the end of 2014 by partying at Aracama. Dance to the music of Karl Ty, Emil Angeles, Badboy Jeff with MC P1. At this party destination, a good night is always guaranteed.

Nothing beats the high you get from a night of good beats and company. Celebrate the end of a year and the start of a new one at the highest peak in the metro, 71 Gramercy. Head on over to their New Year's Eve Ball and get lost in the madness and fun.

If partying the night away in a loud club is not your thing, then maybe these hotel listings would do just the trick.

Party glamorously at the Diamond Hotel and treat yourself to a sumptuous dinner at their Corniche Dinner Buffet. After, dance ‘til your heels could bear at their Sky Lounge.

Welcome the New Year like royalty at EDSA Shangri-La’s Masquerade Ball. Indulge in a delectable banquet and a night of dancing with musical performances by Hajji and Rachel Alejandro.

If you’re staying closer to the south side of the Metro, spend the evening at Makati Shangri-La and treat yourself to a round of bubbly and a delectable gourmet dinner. Performances by Aliya Parcs and Klarisse de Guzman will keep you entertained thoughout the night as you wait for the clock to strike midnight.

Surround yourself with glitz, glitter, and glamour as you bid 2014 farewell at The Peninsula Manila’s Crystal Gala Ball and Dinner. And if you’re looking for a more relaxed environment, try out their dinner buffet at the Escolta restaurant and commence the New Year at Madame Ning’s New Year’s Eve Party—don’t forget to dress up, it’s a night you shouldn’t forget.

The end of a year and the beginning of a new one should be celebrated in the grandest way, and Fairmont and Raffles Makati has something planned that would surely make New Year’s Eve a memorable night. Countdown to 2015 in style at the exclusive Belvedere Lounge, toast to a new adventure at the Long Bar, celebrate the end of a year at their Pool Bar, or simply stuff yourself crazy at Spectrum; whichever way you choose to celebrate, Fairmont and Raffles has something planned for you.

So, where’s it going to be? Take your pick.
