Cultural icon and fashion extraordinaire Paris Hilton just got hitched! On Friday, November 11, she finally wed venture capitalist Carter Reum, who she's been friends with for 15 years. Needless to say, the wedding was every bit the lavish event we expected it to be: It was held at Paris' late grandfather's estate in Bel Air, and boasted a star-studded guestlist, including her close friend Kim Kardashian. Plus, the festivities resportedly took place over three whole days. Yup.
Very much in line with her glamorous taste, the beautiful bride wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown that looked like it was plucked right out of a fairytale. Inspired by the iconic Grace Kelly, Paris and the maison's designers, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, spent months designing a luxe gown that would embody a timeless elegance.
Of course, the end result was nothing short of spectacular. Paris' extravagant gown featured 20 layers of tulle draped over a tried-and-true crinoline petticoat, a fitted turtleneck, exquisite long sleeves, and a dramatic, technical veil. We're obsessed with how the veil flares into a perfect circle—it makes it look like she's standing in a spotlight!
According to the brand, the dress was produced by eight modistes, and took a whopping 1,400 hours to complete! Make no mistake, though—it wasn't the only Oscar de la Renta gown worn by Paris over the course of her three-day wedding. She also donned a taffeta cocktail dress by the maison for her reception!
Paris and Carter got together in 2019, and became engaged in February 2021 after he proposed to her on a private island during her 40th birthday. According to Paris, the wedding was exactly the dreamy event that she'd dreamt of as a little girl.
Best wishes, Paris and Carter!
