Kate Spade once said that playing dress-up begins at age five and never truly ends. That’s exactly how online store of the week The Grey Shoppe came to life. Twenty seven-year-old founder Gracielle Chun loves playing dress up so much that she decided to put up an online clothing store filled with pieces that represent her personal style. “I wanted these styles: the classic crisp polo shirt dress, mullets, and tops with big bows readily available to me and to anyone. [The brand caters to] women who are empowered, not afraid to play around with her outfits, and classy,” she shares.
With this in mind, plus some inspiration from her ultimate style icon, Carolina Herrera, Grey launched the first collection for her namesake label last July. Just two months after she introduced her brand to the online community, The Grey Shoppe is already about to release its second collection called Romance. At this rate, we won’t be surprised if she fulfills her dreams of opening up a small boutique by the first quarter of 2017.
