Online Store of the Week: MillennX Did someone say athleisure?

With all the online stores on Instagram, in order for one to stand out, you have to possess a unique quality. It’s either that or you go against the flow, or in this case, do both—that’s  exactly what founders and co-owners of MillennX, Glenn Hernandez and Jamille Christa Co, did. It is after all, one of the few local brands that chose to focus on athleticwear. “We are very much into sports. He is into weight-lifting, basketball and volleyball, while I am into badminton, tennis, yoga, zumba, gym, etc. We chose to come up with ladies’ athleticwear because we noticed that there is no local brand dedicated to catering to this specific branch of fashion,” shares Jamille. On a mission to pursue their dream to create a world-class Filipino activewear/athleisure clothing line, the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde Fashion Design grads combined their technical knowledge on clothing and passion for sports to launch their line.

Check out @millennx on IG and you’ll see an entire line of modern and minimalist fitness gear, so drool-worthy, it will take you from newbie to #AthleisureQueen in no time. Meant for the strong, independent Filipina who constantly strives to outdo herself, the architecture-inspired designs of GJ Coher (their combined designer name) is a perfect fit for active millennials who love the gym as much as the beach. “We recently came up with a swimwear collection with tops that double as sports bras. We use exactly the same materials as the activewear products, which we source globally.”
