Timeless and tasteful.

Tessie Singson (a.k.a. Lola Androgynous) has got a wardrobe any chic girl would die to rummage through. The good news? You actually can! Snap up Tessie's pre-loved, quality designer threads over at Lola A's Closet. Below, we chat with Lola herself about all the vintage finds she's put up for sale. Keep scrolling!

What inspired you to start Lola A's Closet?

"One day I was cleaning my closet and I realized I have so much stuff that I have not used in a long time. So my son JP and I decided to share my treasures to other people who would probably put them to better use than me. Who would have known that the reception will be overwhelming?"

Describe your personal style and taste for us!

"Frankly, my style has evolved over the years. Every now and then I would experiment and try-out new things but in general I stick to my signature androgynous, minimalist and Japanese-inspired looks. Also, I never really follow trends. I just march to the beat of my own drum."

Which unsold piece on your feed so far has the most sentimental value to you?

"Hmmmm. Every single piece on Lola A's Closet has a story behind it. Some pieces I got during my travels, some were given to me by JP and some I wore at a special event. The idea of having to pass it on to somebody who will breathe a new life to it just makes it easier to let go."

When going through your wardrobe, what are the factor/s that make you finally decide, "oh, I'm going to sell this"?

"If I haven't used it in the past two years and it doesn't have the "I-cannot-live-without-this-piece" factor then it's time to let it go."

Is there any brand that's a favorite of yours and appears in the store often?

"Several! Margiela, Comme des Garçons, Dries Van Noten, and Marni for designer; and COS and Giordano Ladies for high-street."

How do potential buyers contact you? What's the payment method?

"Since everything is on Instagram, they  usually contact me through DM. We accept both bank transfer and cash. I have actually met up with a few of the people who bought stuff from me and it gives me great joy to know people appreciate my style. I am just happy that I'm able to reach out to people and share my passion with them somehow."
