Online shopping is a convenient way to buy new clothes. There's no need to leave the comforts of your own home or squeeze in some time after work to go to the mall. But given that you're supposed to make your purchases through a screen, you won't really have the chance to fit and try on the garments. Shopping ends up feeling like a gamble because you're spending on clothes despite a looming uncertainty. You can only pray that, once the package arrives, the clothes fit... But this changes now!
Laureen Uy recently posted on her Instagram account about a life-changing app that promises to get you the right sizes across a number of online e-commerce sites. Introducing, MySizeID.
MySizeID uses patented technology and unique algorithms that take your measurements using a smartphone. What's more, this technology uses your phone's sensors, and not your camera, thus reducing privacy issues. There's no need to send your photos to get your measurements.
So how does it work, you ask? You simply input your height and weight and follow their tutorials to measure your body's sizes. Ronen Luzon, MySizeID's creator, explains in an interview that the app is programmed to give you size recommendations for specific brands and "eliminates guessing because the size recommendation is given based on your specific body measurements and how they fall in to a retailer’s specific sizing chart."
MySizeID can fetch you data from various international brands including Zara, Forever 21, H&M, Bershka, Fila, Asos, adidas, Nike, Fashion Nova, Nasty Gal, Pull & Bear, Revolve, Superdry, Uniqlo, and more. Download the app here to try it for yourself. Happy shopping!
