To celebrate 48 years since man first set foot on the moon, Omega has released a documentary film entitled Starmen, starring George Clooney and Buzz Aldrin.
In case the latter name rings a bell, you're right: Buzz was one of the first two human beings to ever land on the moon!
In 1969, as part of NASA’s Apollo 11, Omega’s Speedmaster officially became the first watch on the moon. And, to coincide with the mission’s anniversary–now dubbed ‘Moon Day’–the Swiss luxury watchmaker has paired the two together to eat popcorn and re-watch the historical lunar landing.
George, a longtime fan of both Buzz and Neil Armstrong, says to his childhood hero: “I was eight years old and we looked through the telescope, and I explained to my parents that I could see you guys walking on the moon at that point–which, of course, was impossible.”
We're absolutely starstruck! Watch the full documentary here.
