Remember when self-lacing sneakers were just a cool novelty? Now, they've moved from concept to commercial. That's right, Nike's Back to the Future-inspired Adapt sneakers are a thing now. And already, the sportswear company is already looking to the next best thing.
Presenting the Nike GO FlyEase, the brand's first hands-free sneaker. Just how hands-free is the game-changing sneaker? Well, the innovative design fully opens and fully closes as you step in to it and take it off. Amazing stuff.
The easy-on, easy-off design is huge on its own, but that doesn't mean Nike forgot about comfort. According to Nike's statement, the FlyEase is "emblematic of the 'better is temporary' mentality that drives Nike FlyEase technology." It also promises to uphold the brand's standards when it comes to overall performance.
Whether it be basketball, running, or sportswear, the sneaker serves all kinds of active lifestyles. For the campaign, Nike had champion fencer Bebe Vio make sure that it does just that.
"Usually I spend so much time to get in my shoes," says Vio. "With the Nike GO FlyEase, I just need to put my feet in and jump on it. The shoes are a new kind of technology, not only for adaptive athletes but for everyone's real life."
As for the price, the Nike GO FlyEase will cost $120 (approximately P5,800). That's when it goes on sale, of course. Nike is initially making the sneaker available for select Nike Members. Don't worry, you can get a piece of it when it fully drops later this year.
