Hang on to your iPhone holsters. The LA-based developer behind the New York Fashion Week app is now doing business in the Philippines.
Hopscotch, a startup that typically creates fan apps for sports teams and concert venues, is now offering its fan engagement app development platform and services to Filipino brands that want to grow their fan base and customer loyalty.
Swoon. Download the NYFW app here.
In as little as two weeks, merchants and individuals can customize their own apps by dragging and dropping video, music and social media assets into a Content Management System, as well as incorporate Shop, Vote and Share functions, among others. This dramatically brings down the cost to about a third or half the current price to build out apps using local developers!
Founder and CEO of Hopscotch, Laurence Sotsky, expressed his excitement over expanding into Asia, through a partnership with the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT).
“Not only does this partnership expand Hopscotch’s footprint into Southeast Asia, but it also gives us access to a wide variety of large-scale opportunities across sports, entertainment and retail,” he said.
The partnership has already produced a mobile experience for the recent Ariana Grande concert in Manila.
Think what it could do for local retail brands, or Instagram stars who are ready to graduate. Everyone knows apps are the new blogs - they’re the best way to connect with followers on their smartphones.
Right, Kenny and Kyles?
