After a month of resuming operations, CMG’s boutique in Power Plant mall was officially launched to the media last June 21. The flagship store doesn’t just boast of a bright new redesign, it’s also the exclusive retail venue for a limited edition line of shoes under the in-house brand.
Pumps and slingbacks are available in the season’s choice hues of forest green, crayon red, sandy beige, and the staple black in the muted tones that suede gives. A sculpted heel or sporty rubber soles make these picks more trendy than run-of-the mill.
You might be especially drawn to the crystal encrusted sandals that come in comfortable two-inch heights or towering platforms. The blinding number of studs might make you surmise an unaffordable price tag but the most expensive pair is actually a peso shy of P6000. The platform sandals are quite comfortable—roomy at the base of the toes and the arch is not strained either—so you won’t mind pulling an all-nighter in them.
Early for Fall 2011, the brand is already carrying a selection of studded sandals with wooden heels, lace-up booties, and wedges from brands like Stacatto and Matthews, which they’ve been distributing for some time now. The Oasis of Style collection also includes suede satchels, leather totes, and crystal studded evening clutches for proper shoe-bag pairings.
