In Start-Up, software engineer and aspiring CEO Nam Do-san (Nam Joo Hyuk) often has to borrow expensive clothes from Han Ji-pyeong (Kim Seon Ho) to impress the show’s leading lady, Seo Dal-mi (Bae Suzy). His struggling start-up, Samsan Tech, also scrambles to make ends meet, so viewers are naturally led to believe that our poor leading man is, well, poor. That said, what if we told you that he actually has quite a lavish wardrobe of his own?
Nam Do-san is a pretty laidback dresser who prioritizes comfort when putting together his look of the day. His go-to pieces include button-downs from Studio Tomboy and denim jackets from Levi's. But as it turns out, he's also quite a sucker for designer clothes every once in a while—his closet boasts of standout pieces from Dior, Isabel Marant, and Ralph Lauren, often modestly styled with humble basics like jeans and a white T-shirt.

Below, we list down some of Nam Do-san’s most expensive designer clothes that he’s worn in the show so far:
Episode 4
Remember that time he and Dal-mi accidentally bumped with each other inside a bookstore? He had to excuse his shabby clothes and pretend that he borrowed them from Chul-san (Yoo Soo Bin), when in fact, there’s really no shame in wearing a Ralph Lauren flannel overshirt made with pure cotton jacquard weave and distressed metal snaps for an intentional rugged look.

Episode 6
We rarely see Do-san donning prints other than plaid, but we can’t blame him if he fell in love with this multicolored trench jacket with patched chest and side pockets from Isabel Marant—a subtle way to make a sartorial statement.

Episode 10
At first glance, it might look as if Do-san chose something underwhelmingly simple for an important event such as Demo Day, but his choice of crewneck sweatshirt is in fact from French luxury brand Isabel Marant.

Episode 12
Do-san may not have flown to San Francisco in first class, but his outfit certainly was. Off to Silicon Valley, he wore a black denim jacket that features the signature Dior Oblique print across the entire interior, which showed a little when he rolled his sleeves upwards to do some coding on his laptop. A chic yet no-nonsense choice for a long-haul flight!
