Amid the community quarantine, people are finding ways to cope with this new normal, whether it's by finding new hobbies or honing talents. Filipino visual artist Carlo Maala is evidently working on the latter.

For his quarantine art project Carlo decided to render a handful of the most iconic sneaker models from his personal favorite movies. Sole Academy even reposted his work on Instagram, in line with their Sneakers On Film series.

Carlo shared with that he used Adobe Illustrator to pull off the unique style. "I was always a fan of cartoon-ish artworks with thin line strokes and loud colors. So I integrated them both," he says.

In an interview with SPIN Life, Carlo also shared that he did thorough research before deciding on the vibe of each movie sneaker. The result? A clean, bright look of the more recognizable pairs in film history, such as Uma Thurman's black and yellow Onitsukas in Kill Bill, as well as Marty McFly's light-up Nikes in Back to The Future.

When asked which among his sneaker depictions is closest to his heart, Carlo said, "Favorite ko 'yung Air Command Force, kasi nagkaroon ako niyan. Kaya na-amaze ako na naipanglaro nila 'yun sa movie, haha! 'Yung Jordan 11 din ng 'Space Jamfavorite ko kasi sobrang fan ako ng 'Looney Tunes,' tapos 'yung tatay ko may collection ng Jordan dati."

How many of these models have you seen on the big screen?
