The long wait is over! Swedish fashion brand Monki has finally opened its doors to its Filipino fans today, with its first branch in SM Megamall. Preview had the pleasure of getting an exclusive first look of the new store, and we're super excited to share with you everything we know about it.
1. There's another branch opening!
Monki's first branch opening in SM Megamall will be closely followed by another one in September 25. The second branch will be located in SM Mall of Asia.
2. Monki tapped local personalities to celebrate their launch.
Monki partners up with influencers Issa Pressman and Laureen Uy, as well as fashion stylist Em Millan and model Gita Gumabao. Acting as Monki's brand ambassadors, this group "shares their advocacy for sisterhood, empowerment, and inspring #monkistyle."
3. Monki will also collab with a local artist.
Keep y0ur eyes peeled for Monki's upcoming collaboration with Marika Callangan, artist and founder of Woman, Create, a Philippine-based art studio that advocates for intersectional feminism and empowerment for Filipino women and creatives. Exciting!
