Lucky you, iPhone owners! While most of the world languishes with the stock applications in their functional yet terribly boring phones, more and more fashion companies are churning out chic apps for those who can't live without their daily dose of fashion!
The application from Style.com lets you watch the latest runway shows from New York, Paris, and Milan; the Chanel app gives you the latest news from the luxury brand and lets you see its newest offerings; the one from Ralph Lauren allows you to look at their most recent runway collections and gives you access to backstage clips; the Vogue stylist app makes dressing up more fun as it allows you to create a virtual wardrobe that you can mix and match with the picks of the magazine editors. Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Costume National, Hermès, and Zara also have their own apps… the list goes on and on!
DKNY and Marc by Marc Jacobs also just recently joined this stylish techie lineup. DKNY collaborated with IMI Software Inc. to develop an iPhone app that shows the myriad of ways their customers can wear the Cozy, the brand's quintessential wrap. So if you're lucky enough to own both the Cozy and the iPhone, your luck triples as an electronic stylist becomes available to you via that iPhone application! Life is good for fashion-forward Apple people.
Marc by Marc Jacobs, on the other hand, just presented Miss Marc, a virtual watch whose theme is based on the brand's Spring/Summer 2010 collection. It's cute and kooky, and best of all, it's available for free!
With all these chic techie proliferations, perhaps it's time to finally pay considerable attention to your iPhone lust. Think: is a free Marc by Marc Jacobs watch—even though it's just virtual—enough to make you switch?
