There’s a new shopping destination you shouldn’t skip. Inspired by Japan’s high-end shopping districts Ginza and Omotesando, famous Japanese retailer Mitsukoshi will soon offer a modern retail space at Federal Land’s Grand Central Park in Bonifacio Global City. It is expected to heighten the shopping experience with distinct design elements in a casual yet elegant setting.
The mall is designed by Shunsuke Saeki, creative leader of Nomura, one of Japan’s premier design and architectural firms. It has light-filled open spaces, stylishly dressed stores, and engaging attractions, which are meant to fascinate customers and encourage them to visit regularly.
The supermarket will include a depachika or basement food shops, a signature feature of major retail establishments across Japan. Shoppers will be able to choose from an extensive range of premium food items, including a Japanese-style patisserie, fresh fruits, ready-to-eat meals, and beautifully packaged sweets.
Mitsukoshi not only elevates the appeal of the food being served but also offers curated shopping choices with its wide array of Japanese beauty brands. Since Japan has always been at the forefront of premier beauty and wellness products, Mitsukoshi brings the best collections the industry has to offer.
Mitsukoshi is a collaboration between Nomura Real Estate Co., Ltd., Federal Land, Inc., and Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings, Ltd. It will anchor The Seasons Residences, a four-tower residential development that will introduce Japanese-style living to Bonifacio Global City. Mitsukoshi is set to open in 2021.
