Gazini Ganados is on full force to take the fifth Miss Universe crown for the Philippines! Here's a look at her introduction during the preliminary competition, clad in a lavender halter-neck gown:
For the swimsuit segment, Gazini turned heads in her black tropical-print bikini with a bright yellow cape as she strutted down the runway with her phoenix walk.
Shortly after, the 23-year-old beauty queen dazzled on stage wearing a gilded evening gown by Filipino designer Cary Santiago.
Gazini previously hinted that her gown will be bodyfitting and will make her glow and soar. True enough, Cary delivered a stunning golden gown that highlighted Gazini's curves, accentuated her caramel skintone, and made Gazini seem as if she's soaring on stage.
Cary posted a closer look at the gown's details, revealing an intricately made frock that resembled the silhouette of Gazini's fuchsia gown from the Binibining Pilipinas 2019 coronation night.
On a separate Facebook post, Cary revealed that he made several [gowns] for Gazini, two of which "will be used both for pre-lims and for pageant night." He further explained that the gown is intended to highlight a masterful showcase of "fabric manipulation sans the glitter.
Meanwhile, for the National Costume segment of the prelimenary competition, Gazini almost literally transformed into a silver eagle. Cary created another metallic, bodyfitting serpentine gown that depicts Gazini as a goddess flanked by two life-sized Philippine Eagles on her shoulders. Cary shares, "The design is not as flamboyant but the details are very intricate. Its hand-stitched all coming from the same fabric with my signature laser cut patterns."
Woah! Both Gazini Ganados and Cary Santiago are reppin' the country proud!
