The time has finally come for Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray to pass on the crown, and you can bet she did it in sparkling, proudly Filipino-made style. For her final walk, she floated in a regal, ocean-hued Mak Tumang gown titled Reflection!
Reminiscent of our wealth-laden seas' azure waves, it's an ode to the image of the Philippine Eagle sweeping, its mighty wings spread wide, over sapphire waters. Mak wrote, "The creation's inspiration stems from the vision of the Philippine Eagle flying over the flawless turquoise seas embracing our archipelago. Despite its mighty ability to soar up high far beyond the clouds, it could still manage to look down until the point of reflecting itself on the shiny waters. This display of both might and humility is the call each of us heeds."
He went on: "As a nation, we are to have a steadfast spirit yet we also take a moment to journey within ourselves. By doing so, we could be able to mirror the beauty that is within us, to mirror what is true and just and to mirror the light which illuminates our path. Silay; to mirror, [and] pagbubulay; to introspect—the Filipino nation's moment of reflection!"

Also, we love how she chose to don a sparkling selection of Manny Halasan hand jewelry bearing our flag's golden sun and stars, too! Perfect for catching the stage lights while gracefully waving adieu to her crowd of enamored fans.
Definitely fit for a monarch. This historic chapter in Cat's life may have officially closed, but we can't wait to see what's next in store for this forever queen.
