Though we’re still bummed that our girl Mj Lastimosa didn’t make it to the top 5, a round of applause goes to 22-year-old Paulina Vega who bagged the Miss Universe crown at the Florida International University. The 5'9" Colombian beauty wore a silver sequined halter dress with a striped sheer panel skirt—a look that seems to belong to the same collection as Miss Philippines' white beaded mermaid gown with a sheer panel above its flare. In fact, it was designed by the same Colombian designer.

Having gone head-to-head with Ukraine, USA, Jamaica, and Netherlands in the final round, it was Paulina who rose to the top despite her unclear answer. When asked by judge Rob Dyrdek what she thought women could learn from men she replied, "I believe that there are still men who believe in equality and I believe that that is what women should learn from men." Say what?
