Mimiyuuuh Pays Homage to Her Fashion Design Roots at the Preview Ball 2026

A fashion girl at heart, Mimiyuuuh trusts her sartorial instincts and went with the first designer that came to mind: Karl Nadales. She recalls, “Nung sinabi na yung theme ng ball ay ‘deconstructed,’ ang na sa isip ko kaagad, si Karl Nadales—especially yung piece niya from his Japan collection.”

Mimiyuuuh’s look, however, had a personal—and therefore, distinctly Filipino—touch. “This look is very nostalgic, kasi parang it’s me paying homage to the fashion design student version of me,” she says, consistently staying true to her claim that fashion is healing. “Nakaka-miss din mag-pattern, and as you can see, the skirt is made out of basic bodices.”

The clothes moved with her as she danced the night away, mimicking how they do on styling racks. Karl Nadales’ undeniable skills in construction and eye for the unconventional were truly evident.

One thing about Mimiyuuuh, her wardrobe comprises pieces from various aspects of her life—may it be her travels, her background, or her designer discoveries. The stylish personality accessorized with statement earrings by Filipino designer Krizia Jimenez, and leather gloves found at a local store somewhere in Florence, Italy. She carried the Bobbin Bag by local brand Pilosopo, and walked in heels by London-based brand A.W.A.K.E. MODE.

Mimiyuuuh’s hair was styled into a sleek ponytail by Dale Mallari, with bangs adorning her forehead while keeping her temples exposed. Meanwhile, Thazzia Falek painted her face in cool gray tones, keeping her look cohesive from head to toe. With a little help from Preview Best Dressed 2026 honoree Marina Summers, Mimiyuuuh sported pencil-thin brows straight out of an editorial.

When asked what “deconstruction” means to her, Mimiyuuuh shares that it’s about “making a piece that is still complete, even though it’s incomplete.” She concludes, “You can make something out of nothing.”
