At the Kennedy Center Honors event, we caught the First Lady of the United States of America, Michelle Obama, rocking a frock by our very own Monique Lhuillier.
At the star-studded event filled with celebrity guests such as Lady Gaga, Meryl Streep, and Steven Spielberg; the woman beside the most powerful man in the USA decided to wear a blush embroidered column gown by the Filipino talent who continues to make waves internationally, Monique Lhuillier. The dress was a stunner on its own that Mrs. Obama only needed to add drop earrings and pointy pumps to the mix before heading off to the ball.
President Obama and the First Lady presided over the annual event where recognition is given to those in the performing arts for a lifetime of contributions to the American culture. This year awards were given to musicians Sting and Al Green, actor Tom Hanks, comedian Lily Tomlin, and ballerina Patricia McBride.
Good job, Monique! We can't wait to see who you'll be dressing next!
