Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco is the first Filipino to present at the Paris Fashion Week. Together with newly-founded multi-designer brand, COUTURíSSIMO, Michael debuts his first collection in the fashion capital of the world. He will be presenting with designer veterans like Balmain, Dior, Chanel, and Givenchy.
His 30-piece Autumn/Winter 2016 couture and prêt-à-porter collection was inspired by nature, which he translated through a muted palette with floral appliques and lace. Aside from his romantic red frocks, Michael punctuates his collection with Filipino influences—hand-embroidered barong and terno-inspired numbers patterned from ikat, banig and solihiya.
