From his humble beginnings in Dubai which later on earned him an elite following, there’s definitely no way but up for Michael Cinco as he continues to redefine luxury with his intricately-embellished couture pieces. And boy, his 2013 is off to a great start as two of Hollywood’s big names donned his creations on separate high-profile events.
Just a week ago, Lady Gaga attended An Evening with the Chicago Bulls, the team’s 24th annual charity event held at United Center, Chicago, wearing a bespoke Michael Cinco sequined gown inspired by her “Fame” fragrance. The dress was lavishly hand-embellished with golden crystals, beads, and mirror appliqués, which reportedly took only five days to make! Talk about mastering your craft and working under pressure!
And then yesterday, the Samar native made headlines once again at the 70th Golden Globe Awards as Sofia Vergara, nominee for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Show, Miniseries or TV-Movie for Modern Family, wowed the crowd in a black bejeweled mermaid frock that fit her like a glove. When asked by Ryan Seacrest about her dress, here’s what the Colombian actress had to say: “It’s Michael Cinco. He’s a new designer for me, I’ve never heard of him. But I saw the dress and usually I try to stay away from black but I thought it was amazing.”
Well done, Michael! We're so proud of you!
