We love a good spectacle on the runway—fashion, after all, is all about wonder and experimentation. Isn't there a thrill to your jaw hitting the floor when a model comes sauntering down the catwalk in something eccentric? The Japanese have got shock value down to an art (think wild and wonderful pieces care of Comme des Garcons and Sacai), but they've also got a talent for making the seemingly absurd totally wearable. Take Naoki, for instance!

Naoki's collection for Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival 2018 shows fascinating origami-esque shapes ready to take on real life with juuust the right peppering of texture to turn heads. We love the above look in particular: that sweater would fare great both with the matching skirt and a laidback pair of jeans, don't you think?

Check out the rest of the collection below!
