The small amount of attention that menswear gathers in Manila is probably a long-lamented fact by the stylish men in the metro. After all, we are only treated to menswear collections during Philippine Fashion Week. But this year, though the concerted efforts of Ayala Malls, the Philippine Star, and Tiger 22, together with show director Ariel Lozada, the first ever installation of Men's Week makes it debut, where the country's top designer showcase what's hot in dapper fashion.
Men's Week started with the Style Origins show, where big brands from the Ayala Malls presented their latest collections. It was then followed by a collection preview of the 21 participating designers: Sassa Jimenez, Randy Ortiz, Joey Samson, Jerome Lorico, Kermit Tesoro, Gian Romano, M Barretto, Norman Noriega, Bang Pineda, Regine Dulay, James Reyes, Rhett Eala, Ivarluski Aseron, Jojie Lloren, Michael Cinco, Noel Crisostomo, Nixon Marquez, Jerome Salaya Ang, Ronan Opina, Arcy Gayatin, and Cary Santiago.
Men's Week will take place in the Ayala Malls across the country until June 15, 2012. The complete show schedule is listed below (click on the links to see the designers' collections). Also, don't forget to check our runway galleries to see the collections as soon as they walk the runway!
