Match The Watch Glam Rock sets foot in Manila.

The most iconic timepieces on the market all tend to have a storied past. Glam Rock is no exception. It is the fruit of passion of watch makers who wanted to create timepieces that fused fashion with Swiss functionality.

For those of you who are manic about coordinating your accessories, you'll meet your match with Glam Rock. Its foremost feature of changeable straps and stylized bezels to match your designer bags. (Their latest, the SMALTO collection, has a line of watch case covers that compliment Pucci's psychidelic prints.)

Three fashionistas—TV personality Claudine Trillo, real estate princess Divine Lee, and fashion designer Rosanna Ocampo—played ambassadress at the Glam Rock launch last May 6, 2009 at Power Plant Mall, pairing the Glam Rock watches with their own designer handbags. Stylist Jenni Eperson was also on hand to play host and demonstrate the watch's intricacies.

The catwalk-inspired pieces are made of luxurious materials that are of highest quality. Exotic skins like the distinctive cobblestone patterns of the alligator; the pebbled appearance of the lizard and the geometric colored scales of the python mimic the luxe movement of designer bags (and shoes, even). The brand has sourced their leather from the same tanneries as Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Hermès, and Bottega Veneta, giving each strap the same lust-worthy appeal as any "it" bag. As Jenni asserts, “Matching is the new mix.”

Though seemingly trendy, these timepieces come with a hefty price tag with prices starting at P50,000 and going as hish as P120,000. “Glam Rock timepieces not only keep up with the trends, they become classics, too," stresses Isabelle Maujean, Glam Rock's president flew in just for the opening. "They can look sleek, chic and sexy all at the same time,” she adds.

There are endless straps and case covers to choose from and Isabelle suggests you to bring the watch to the store when you want to change the straps, though you can actually also do it yourself. Click on to see more of Glam Rock.

Glam Rock is available at Chronos (Rockwell Powerplant Mall), Lucerne (Glorietta 4 & Shangri-La Plaza Mall), Wrist Pod (Bonifacio High Street) and Adora (Greenbelt 5).
