Holiday dressing often calls for a little extra effort, but Mark Bumgarner wants to make getting ready feel less like a production. With “After Hours,” his Holiday 2026 ready-to-wear collection, the designer explores a more flexible approach to occasionwear, offering pieces that accommodate a full day of plans.

The inspiration came from a late-night fitting with Anne Curtis, a longtime friend and muse. During their conversation, the actress said she wanted clothes that could keep up with her lifestyle, whether she was heading to an impromptu dinner, moving between events, or packing for a trip. She wanted to look dressed up without planning an entire outfit around a single occasion.

That idea became the starting point for “After Hours,” prompting Mark and his team to rethink how the label’s signature design elements could fit into the everyday wardrobe.

Ready-to-wear has long been part of Mark and his partner Earl Semitara’s vision for the brand, and “After Hours” marks a step toward establishing a distinct identity for this side of the business.

Known for his couture creations and structured silhouettes, the designer approached the collection with comfort and versatility in mind. The pieces retain the details associated with his work, including sculptural shapes, waist-cinching corsetry, and intricate embellishments.

Relaxed dresses share the lineup with tailored separates and menswear ensembles, letting wearers build outfits for a variety of occasions. A change of accessories or a different combination of pieces can easily take a look from daytime engagements to evening plans.

Mark’s atelier produces each garment with the same team behind his couture and custom pieces. Hand-cut fabric paillettes, hand-beaded fringe, embellished denim, and three-dimensional floral appliqués bring texture and dimension to the designs, highlighting the detailed workmanship behind the ready-to-wear offering.

Some fabrics were sourced during Mark's travels, while textures and details from earlier collections have been revisited for this more relaxed wardrobe. Rather than producing large quantities, the label is keeping most styles limited to two or three pieces per size and color.
