Marian Rivera Is a Scene-Stealer at the Vice President's Inauguration An OOTD that befits the historical event!

Today is a glorious day to be a Filipino as our nation comes together to celebrate the inauguration of incoming President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Leni Robredo.

Our country’s new commander-in-chief donned a classic Barong Tagalog designed by Boni Adaza of Chardin, and VP Leni herself looked elegant in an off-white modern Filipiniana dress by Paul Cabral. Naturally, we were all ears when they gave their respective speeches, although we’d be lying if we said no one else managed to catch our attention. As far as the fashion department is concerned, Marian Rivera-Dantes almost stole our new leaders’ thunder.

Present at the Quezon City Reception House for the Vice President’s inaugural ceremony, Marian stunned in an embroidered barong dress by local designer Nuevo Ystilo paired with Jimmy Choo white leather sandals. The 31-year-old actress, styled by Melville Sy of Qurator, completed her look with a remarkably lavish Hermès Kelly in Himalayan Croc. (In case you’re wondering why it looks familiar, that’s probably because Heart Evangelista owns a Birkin of the same material.)

Enlisting the help of celebrity makeup artist Bambi Fuentes, who dolled her up for the event, Marian kept it simple yet chic wearing light makeup and her long hair down. Of course, it obviously didn’t hurt that her heartthrob of a husband, Dingdong Dantes, served as her arm candy, too.

A relaxed yet sophisticated look that befits the historical oath-taking ceremony, Marian’s OOTD elicited nothing short of oohs and aahs. Her stylist shares, “We were aiming for a clean silhouette with classic accessories to achieve the perfect look for a daytime event.” And that they certainly accomplished!
