Marian Rivera Is Feeling Sexy and Free in Clio Peppiatt at the Preview Ball 2026

Luminaries gathered at the Manila Marriott Grand Ballroom in Newport World Resorts for the Preview Ball 2026 last September 10. Celebrities, creatives, and fashion icons of all generations showed up in their distinct takes on deconstructed attire, with many applying the motif to their personal style codes.

Among the A-listers present was Marian Rivera, Preview's inaugural Style Icon, who welcomed this year's recipient Anne Curtis into the sartorial fold. The actress was also there to support her longtime stylist and close personal friend, Melville Sy, who was recognized as one of the year's Best Dressed. For the evening, Marian was feeling sexy and free in a bedazzled designer look.

“We interpreted ‘deconstructed’ through a look that feels refined, playing with texture, movement, and intricate details,” Melville says of his muse’s OOTD. A subtle departure from her usual head-to-toe glamour, Marian slipped into a shimmering mini dress from London-based designer Clio Peppiatt, which featured a rich brown hue and an encrusted floral pattern.

“The intricate hand-beaded floral design [gave the look] dimension, while the dangling beaded fringe at the hem gave it movement and an almost unfinished, undone look,” Melville further explains.

Accenting the effortlessly sexy look was one of Marian's most prized possessions at the moment: a polished giraffe-shaped Chanel flap, which echoed the dress' earthy shades. The actress rarely makes an appearance in something on the shorter side, making for a refreshing moment at this year's Ball. Her Bvlgari jewels were also integral to tying the entire ensemble together.

"Marian always gravitates toward feminine silhouettes and details, so we wanted to stay true to that while giving it a more interesting edge," Melville adds, emphasizing that the shorter length is a new style they're adding to Marian's repertoire.

"The fitted silhouette feels very Marian, while the textures, floral beadwork, and fringed hem bring something more playful and unexpected," he continued.
