In an exclusive with Pep.ph, personal shopper Aimee Hashim put the question of authenticity of Marian Rivera's D&G T-shirt to rest. Nicole Ward, division manager of Al Tayer Insignia, sent a statement via email confirming Aimee's purchase of the article in question:
Al Tayer Insignia, an authorized franchisee of Dolce & Gabbana in Dubai, confirms that Aimee Hashim purchased a Dolce & Gabbana 'I was there' T-shirt (Barcode: 211115647 VPN: L5JT7M-G7KVM-HWB89) which is part of the Spring Summer 17 collection. The product was purchased from Dolce & Gabbana Children's Store in Mall of the Emirates, Dubai on 11th January 2017.
The Al Tayer Group is the largest luxury retailer in the Middle East with a portfolio that includes top fashion brands Armani, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana and Jimmy Choo in its roster.
The issue suspecting Marian Rivera of wearing a fake D&G "I Was There" T-shirt was first reported on April 20, 2017 when Instagram user @anne__bonhomme questioned details on the design of the shirt worn by the actress. This statement from the Dubai-based group confirming the purchase of the D&G logo T-shirt from the Dolce & Gabbana Children's Store, Aimee said that Marian wears a children's size 12, puts an end to further questions regarding whether or not the personal shopper bought an authentic limited edition tee in its Arabic variation for the actress.
