Stepping out with new beau Bryan Tanaka, Mimi looked every bit the star that she is in the skintight, Swarovski-jeweled frock. The designer took it to Instagram, posing a snap with Mariah and captioning it: "Late night fitting with the super gorgeous diva Mariah Carey...I was so scared and shy to meet her. Thank God she was so nice and humble in person!"

Mariah even posted a photo of herself in the glimmering frock on her own Instagram: "What a festive night. Thank you Michael Cinco for this beautiful gown!"
Naturally, we just had to reach out to Michael to get all the juicy deets about what it's like to work with Mariah Carey herself! Below, he tells Preview a blow-by-blow account of the making of her dress:
What was it like working with her?
"It was truly an amazing experience. She is so humble and easy to work with. Truly one of my best experiences in my career."
Could you describe the dress that you designed for her?
"It's sexy, seductive, and alluring."
Did she have any input on how the dress should look?
"It was definitely a collaboration between the both of us. I spoke to her and she told me what she had in mind for this performance. I sketched a few options for her and she chose her favorite design. She definitely knows what she wants."
Could you describe the creative process?
"It started with creating sketches based on what she asked for. Once she approved the sketch, we showed her multiple fabrics and crystals for her to look over. We then created the gown that she tried on at our fitting and only had a few minor alterations. She loved everything about the gown."
Amazing work as always, Michael!
