One of the most anticipated films this 2026 is Wuthering Heights, which stars Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff. Loosely inspired by Emily Brontë's 1847 novel of the same name, the film adaptation opens in Philippine cinemas this February 11—just in time for Valentine's Day.

Aside from the buzz surrounding the film itself, Margot Robbie has been consistently making waves for the series of looks she has been serving during the press tour. Among the many fabulous ensembles, one stands out the most—the custom Schiaparelli Couture bustier gown she wore to the Los Angeles premiere.

While the gown is a beautiful representation of the film and Margot's character, it was the necklace she wore with it that made headlines.

For Margot's jewelry, stylist Andrew Mukamal opted for custom Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings, a Fred Leighton 19th Century ruby and diamond ring, and the pièce de résistance—Elizabeth Taylor's Taj Mahal heart diamond that is set in a Cartier necklace.

Once the ensemble hit the news, netizens were quick to point out that the necklace's history goes beyond Elizabeth Taylor receiving it for her 40th birthday in 1972, from two-time husband Richard Burton.

The pendant has an inscription in Parsee that reads: “Love is Everlasting.” It also bears the name of Nur Jahan, who received the jewelry as a gift from her husband, the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahangir. Their son, Shah Jahan, then gave it as a gift to his own wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Unfortunately, she passed away a few years later and the-then emperor paid tribute by commissioning the Taj Mahal, which inspired the diamond’s name.

Eventually, Cartier acquired the jewel and sold it to Richard in 1972. Then in December 2011, during the sale of Elizabeth's estate, the piece sold for $8.8 million, which broke records for Indian jewels. Allegedly, the jewel was taken from India when the country was colonized, which is why plenty of people are urging Cartier to return the jewel to its country of origin.
